The 4 Hour Work Week by Timothy Ferriss is a great read. I've become a fan of Tim's over the last year and really enjoy the thought provoking podcast he puts out. While I don't always agree with him, I appreciate his kind and thorough interviews and the way that he goes deeper into ideas and makes me contemplate things from a different point of view. This book, while similar to others I've read, gave me some good ideas for how to think about making a living versus making a life and also for how I speak to my children about that very thing. It's an ongoing topic in our home...day to day life versus job. I don't think the two things have to be equal in value or to compete. We should be finding the life we want and then find out how we can best support that. I truly believe Tim does a great job of hashing this out in a way that is attainable and simple.
